Beethoven Series  ∣  Various times and places
This season, the Newport Music Festival will present all 32 of Beethoven’s piano sonatas featuring a stalwart group of Festival pianists. Included in this 14-concert series will be other chamber and piano works, including violin and cello sonatas, the horn sonata, the sextet for two horns, four hand pieces, a Family Concert and more. Beethoven brings to mind the monumental. This is your rare chance to hear all these towering works.

A journey into the world of tango from classic tango to Piazzolla and world premieres, featuring the return of trombonist Achilles Liarmakopoulos and the Newport debuts of bandoneonist Hector Del Curto, bassist Pedro Giraudo and pianist Emilio Teubal. *Cocktails and treats on The Terrace preceding to benefit the Mark P. Malkovich, III Memorial Fund Endowment.

DanzaNova
Newport debut of DanzaNova, a world/folk/fusion ensemble featuring virtuoso musicians founder/composer/accordionist Ronn Yedidia, violinist Lara St John, guitarist Giacomo La Vita, bassist Eddy Khaimovich and percussionist Benny Koonyevsky. DanzaNova’s exciting cross-over style of musical fusion, modern classicism and improvisation establishes new frontiers.

Closing Concert: Three Pianos, Six Hands
